New Applications

Human studies research protocol applications for IRB Full Board Review must be submitted no later than 3 weeks prior to a scheduled meeting. New protocol applications for Expedited Review or review by Exempt determination by the IRB will be accepted on a rolling basis.

Continuing Renewal Applications

For continuing review/renewal applications in Full Board Review, submit materials no later than 1 month before the next scheduled IRB full board meeting. In order to avoid a lapse in approval (e.g. issues necessitating revision, resubmission and re-review), you may wish to allow a 2 month window. For continuing review/renewal of applications of Expedited Review protocols, submit all materials no later than 1 month before your expiration date to avoid a lapse in approval.
